Tamarind – The Root Loosener

Chakra Alignment: Sacral & Root
Taste Profile: Sour / Rich / Tangy-Earthy
Origin: India / Thailand / Africa / Mexico
Availability: All year

Tamarind carries the frequency of deep release and grounded sensuality. Its dense, sticky pulp draws toxins, physical and emotional, out of the system, encouraging a slow, deliberate unraveling of stored heat, tension and suppressed desire.

With its sour-sweet intensity and mineral-rich profile, it moves through the sacral chakra like a cleansing current, clearing stagnation from the creative and reproductive centres.

Its grounding effect is rooted in the root chakra, helping to stabilise the lower field during emotional resets, seasonal transitions, or physical purification. Tamarind’s dense texture and earthy tone remind the body to slow down, chew and absorb, offering nourishment that is both primal and sacred.

Used in Ayurvedic, Thai, African and Latin traditions, Tamarind was and still is revered as a digestive tonic, blood purifier, and cooling agent. It’s commonly taken during liver cleanses, menstrual balancing, or in preparation for extended fasting.

This is fruit for letting go. For rooted movement. For returning to the body’s wisdom without rushing its rhythm.

Our produce is sourced from all across the world and we work with both highly skilled elite growers and traditional farmers in remote tropical regions who have cleanly cultivated fruit for generations.
